Jane Austen Collection

Jane Austen completed six novels between 1811 and 1817. The RSN has created an embroidery kit inspired by each title, bringing together Austen’s world with the embroidery traditions of her time.

Each design draws inspiration from patterns published in The Ladies’ Magazine (1770–1847), a popular source of decorative designs for women undertaking embroidery during the period. These historical patterns have been thoughtfully reimagined for the embroidery hoop, connecting Austen’s literary world with the needlework practices of her era.
