The Rising Scarab: An Advanced Workshop in Lunéville Embroidery with Axelle Faes-Cortes

This five-day advanced workshop is designed for embroiderers with previous experience in Lunéville tambour embroidery who wish to expand their technical repertoire through the creation of the Rising Scarab.

Working through a carefully structured progression, you will learn appliqué, raised embroidery, rich stitch, vermicelli, advanced pulling stitches and layered embellishment, all executed with the Lunéville crochet hook. You will work with beads, sequins, rayon thread, Tonkin threads and mixed materials, learning how to combine them to create texture, relief, depth and movement.

By the end of the workshop, you will have expanded your technical repertoire and developed the confidence to combine advanced tambour techniques with greater precision while progressing the Rising Scarab embroidery.
