The Royal School of Needlework has always been a non-profit organisation, having to seek funds in order to offer bursaries and to initiate new projects, so the RSN is extremely grateful for the funding we receive from Charitable Trusts and Foundations.  The funding hugely contributes towards our mission to ensure the future of hand embroidery through education, practice and promotion.

Charitable funding supports bursaries and the course costs for the RSN Future Tutors programme and bursaries on the RSN Degree,  BA (Hons) Hand Embroidery. Our students use the money to assist with their RSN studies, whether this goes towards their fees, the purchase of equipment and materials, or their living requirements.

Funders have also assisted with new initiatives such as the RSN Stitch Bank which was launched in September 2021 and are contributing towards the digitisation of the Textile Collection and RSN Archive which will be the next major initiative.
