Loveday Crewelwork Kit by Nicola Jarvis

Nicola's iconic crewel work project is based on the ancient Tree of Life motif, and inspired by the 350 year old oak tree in her garden where a variety of animals, birds and insects nest and feed in the canopy.
This large-scale modern crewel design is aimed at embroiderers with a working knowledge of crewel work and surface embroidery. Stitches include Stem Stitch, Split Stitch, Chain Stitch, Satin Stitch and variations, Long and Short Stitch, Couching and Knots, worked in crewel wool, stranded cotton, metallic threads with bead embellishment
