RSN Exclusive Winter Wreath Embroidery Kit by Sarah Smith
Description
This Winter Wreath is a frosty, delicate design of hellebore, spruce and berries with just a tiny amount of sparkly winter frost. This kit will introduce you to a range of surface embroidery stitches including the much admired technique of Silk Shading or 'painting with a needle'.
It is worked in a combination of DMC Stranded cotton, DMC Etoile and Au Ver A Soie 'Soie d'Alger' threads on the highest quality light grey Belgian linen. It is aimed at stitchers of all abilities, including those with very little experience of embroidery.
The stitches covered are as follows: Starting and Finishing; French Knots; Split Stitch; Silk Shading; Stem Stitch; Open Fly Stitch; Straight Stitch and Padded Satin Stitch. All available on Stitchbank.
It is worked in a colour palette that is wintery, delicate.
