Marvellous Macarons: Christ-macs with Sarah de Rousset-Hall

Sarah graduated from the RSN’s Future Tutors programme in 2020, having spent three years learning the art of hand embroidery to the highest standard. Sarah is a regular tutor on the Certificate & Diploma course at Hampton Court and online, as well as in the US intensives. She also teaches day classes, and particularly enjoys teaching Goldwork and classes that allow students to explore their own creativity. At her studio at home in West Sussex, Sarah has recently been working on art pieces for the 2028 Broderer’s exhibition, designing new classes and working on private commissions including a banner for one of the City of London Livery Companies. Sarah is also working as a project manager at the RSN, looking after their Fragile Threads project, which is running community embroidery projects, and will culminate in an exhibition at the Bankside Gallery in February 2027. In 2023, Sarah was honoured to be part of the Embroidery Studio team at the Royal School of Needlework who worked on a number of items for the Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla, including The Queen’s Robe of Estate, the Anointing Screen and the Stole Royal.
