This exquisite surface embroidery project is inspired by a
Stuart needlework sweet bag held in the Ashmolean Museum collection.
From Nicola's Heritage Range, the delightful tree of life motif
is worked in fine Long and Short Stitch, Satin Stitch, Couching
and bead work techniques.
The stiches are executed in Au Ver A Soie silk and metallic
threads on a full colour-printed cotton satin ground.
Your kit comes with everything you need to complete the design but you will also need sharp embroidery scissors and an 8 inch embroidery hoop.
