Your day will begin with a highlights tour of the show and a focus on Queen Elizabeth II’s wedding dress with Surveyor of The King’s Works of Art and exhibition curator, Caroline de Guitaut.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDesigned by Sir Norman Hartnell and unveiled to the world in 1947, the gown remains an enduring symbol of post‑war optimism, craftsmanship, and regal elegance. \u003ci\u003e\u003c\/i\u003eDuring the day you will learn how to stitch this stunning motif highlighting many of the beadwork and embroidery techniques visible on the wedding dress.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHand embroidery techniques include:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e• Beading over satin and tulle\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e• String padding + beading over\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e• Beaded stem stitch in the round\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e• Cut fabric and tulle insert\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e• Silk ribbon wrapped beads \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll the stitches and techniques will be covered by the tuition and your kit materials will enable you to complete the design after the class.
